Don't let them get you down, hold in there. Rant and scream. It helps. In the end, you'll know who your real friends are. Your post inspired me to have myself checked. I will return to visit you, Spike.

Not to be "one of those" peeps trying to tell you what to do but... (BUT I'm saying "but" with my whole heart...) My son has "the betes", as he call it. He has the most amazing, and hilarious, outlook on life with the "betes". He has 6 videos called "The Betes' on youtube. Just search The betes... you will find him. NOT promoting him. Just want to give you a really good laugh (probably more like 287 lol's). And a new friend.

Thanks for being real.Lille Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18355633178013099418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8613274.post-38453260375931851082009-05-19T11:26:00.000-07:002009-05-19T11:26:00.000-07:00That sucks. And sure enough . . . So, now I know my kidlets have a 1 in 7 chance. That sucks too.

The other thing that sucks - the "common wisdom" from the medical community - lose weight by eating a low fat diet (which usually means relatively high carb). Diabetes isn't always caused by a poor diet. And prescribing a one-size-fits-all diet is just stupid. Hubby started eating a low carb diet and exercised a little more. And he was able to control it without medication longer than the doc thought he would.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13598030216849629747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8613274.post-16794195308759069482009-05-19T09:18:00.000-07:002009-05-19T09:18:00.000-07:00Damn that sucks! I may just point to your post ;)

I've got a diabetic dog (seems kind of like the universe is taunting me with that one) so I know the management drill. I so know this feeling.

Also: ugh. I'm sorry you're having to go through all this hard.

And yeah, wanting to rip hearts out for being hard when you what you need is for someone to acknowledge how scary, uncomfortable and generally awful this is for you ... seems like a pretty healthy reaction to me.Havi Brookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09064267590490921580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8613274.post-61254629495888906602009-04-23T16:02:00.000-07:002009-04-23T16:02:00.000-07:00Hey, for what its worth.
